GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - If you dont know already, I am a HUGE fan of the ABC reality show "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love." Its not because of the devilishly handsome bachelor Jake who got his heart broken last season, or the 25 beautiful ladies vying for his heart...or maybe their 15 minutes of fame. I think it's the amazing dates and vacations that each of these girls get the opportunity to go on, and the drama they put each other through by secretly trying to sabotage each other.
As funny as it sounds, I think it's all so entertaining, and I’m extremely addicted! Each season there seems to be a few favorites that are so sweet and kind that America is just hoping that Jake will see who's real, and who's a little bit snotty. Well, one of the favorites of mine, unfortunately got eliminated at the rose ceremony last Monday night. Her name is Corrie Adamson, the bright eyed sweet "All American girl next door" from Kissimmee Florida. Last week after the rose ceremony I had the opportunity to chat with Corrie and here are a few of the things we talked about.
First of all, Corrie is just as sweet in person as she is on television, so I like the fact that she’s so real! But the whole controversy was that on the "Bachelor", if you’ve seen the show, many of the girls seem to move very quickly with the Bachelor. Whether it’s romantically, emotionally, or physically. But...not ALL of the girls are like that. Corrie actually waited until late in the game for a first kiss from Jake, and confessed to Jake that she (surprisingly) is a virgin. I asked Corrie the question, that everyone was wondering....."Do you think it was a good decision to wait so long to kiss Jake? And do you think that your decision played a part in the outcome of you going home?"
Corrie honestly answered with no hesitation. "It may have played out-it may have played into that but no, like that was mine and Jake's first date and like I wasn’t even about to kiss him on a group date where he was kissing other girls minutes before and after me."
And my second question was, "If you had to choose out of the girls that are left in the house, who do you really see Jake with, someone that would really make him happy?"
"Honestly when I left I was really like I don’t know who in the world, like I just in a way didn’t see him with anyone long term, in all honesty,” Corrie said. “But I mean I think that he, Vienna and Ali had a really strong connection. And I think that Tenley is a really great girl, and he'd be lucky to have her. And I love Gia to death. She was one of my good friends while I was there. But I don’t see her and Jake together at all."
There were a few questions pertaining to a season preview of Corrie having a breakdown at the show, after disclosing that she was a virgin, and this is what she had to say.
"Yes, I did get upset after that conversation. The conversation didn’t really happen exactly the way that you guys saw it and it kind-the question actually came out of nowhere. It didn’t- it- we were not taking about living together when that question came up and it caught me so off guard,” she said. “And you know, that was mine and Jake's first date. And that’s something that is very personal and its not something that I go announcing on my first dates with guys, not because I’m not proud of it, because I am, but it’s personal. And so it caught me off guard, and I didn’t think that it should have played a factor in how he saw me."
The other big question, was about the fantasy suite night. Jake has the opportunity to ask the girls if they would like to spend the night in the fantasy suite with him, and for the most part girls often accept the offer. This is part of the controversy. So when Corrie was asked about her conversation with Jake and the suite, this is what she had to say.
"When I told him that I wasn’t (going to accept the suite), because that conversation about me being a virgin and he said, you know, fantasy suites are coming up, like is that something you're going to do? And I said "no, it's not". "And I said 'is that a deal breaker for you?' and he said, 'you know, it might be'.
Corrie also stated that she had the time of her life on the show, and has no regrets. She made some great friends through it, and thinks it was a great experience. I’m still rooting for Corrie to find true love, and I think we'll see more of her in the future! As for Valentines Day, Corrie says she has no plans for the Hallmark holiday, and wishes she did have plans, but she'll be on the road.
As for next episode, the girls are bringing Jake home to meet the parents on the home town dates! This is always one of my favorite shows of the season, so I will be watching! Let me know what you think, and who's in the lead for Jake's heart! I will be interviewing the next girl who gets eliminated! Tune in to the "Bachelor-on the wings of love" Monday’s at 8pm on My ABC WOTV 4.
